An update from my previous post.

Four shots fired. One went through the window, the other went into his drywall(recovered and shown here in his hand) and the other two remained lodged in the door.

According to my patient, these bullets were most likely intended for a neighbor who has a history of drug involvement.

"I think we shot up the wrong door, Paco"

Explaining Looney Tunes........

"Daddy, why is the Pig shooting the Duck?"

Funny how cartoons have changed over the years.

I also had a hard time explaining the reference to Fuller Brush;
"knock knock knock,
Fuller Brush man!"

I explained, that he's like the pizza pie guy, except that instead of pizza, he could bring us things to clean with. Which of course was followed with the question: "Daddy, what is clean?"

I think that the Fuller Brush man did stop by some time ago, however Wendy threatened him that should he ever come back, he would suffer great bodily harm. Something about cutting off his genitals.

We do however welcome, with open arms Jehova's Witness', if the theologian is greeted in the tradition of Richard Anna Sr (Answering the door in your BVD's).

Lunch with the King, and one his prospective employees

Lunch with the King, and one his prospective employees
Originally uploaded by robertanna.
Today, while having lunch at Burger King, I had the pleasure of over hearing the interview process go on between the manager and an applicant.

Some of the facts I learned;

No facial hair

No face piercings

3 hour notice for sick call ins

You start out in the back working with food and slowly graduate to the register

interestingly:

Peppered with the only question during the entire interview, transcripted as follows:

"why do you want to work at BK?

"well, I really want to work here"

"so, you were just passing by and thought you'd apply?"

"ummmm, I'd really really like to work here"

Hired!

By the way, the young "go getter" you see seated behind me (with the glasses) is the BK applicant.

I'll be stopping by soon to see if he actually got the job, and update accordingly.
